Hensel has now been commended in Lennestadt for its commitment to corporate health management with a broad offering for employees.
In a ceremony for the official presentation of the “HEALTHY COMPANY” Award, Hensel was the first company in the Olpe district to receive the gold seal. “Healthy, satisfied and motivated employees are more important for companies than ever before. Hensel was quick to recognise the challenges posed by demographic change and the skills shortage and is taking active steps to counteract them,” said Katja Weigand, Managing Director of the parent institution IFU – Institut für Unternehmenswerte (Institute for Corporate Values) – which represents the HEALTHY COMPANY initiative throughout Germany. She presented the award seal and certificate to Philipp C. Hensel as the company’s managing director.

“We don’t just want to attract and retain employees; we also want to make them more aware of matters relating to health. It’s a win-win situation for both sides. Successful corporate health management fosters a team that stays healthy and performs well long term,” said Philipp C. Hensel. “Our employees can benefit from a variety of offers, ranging from the latest health tips in our company magazine Der Kurze Draht to intranet health coaching and e-bike leasing.”

The determining criteria for the award are:

Healthy eating: especially the varied menu on offer in the company cafeteria as well as the courses and guidance sessions on nutrition, such as “Healthy eating at work”, which are organised by the company.
Healthy teamwork: in terms of communication between employees and superiors as well as regarding personal development and qualified further training opportunities including communication training, management behaviour and advisory services.
Healthy balance: in the form of exercise and relaxation activities in the gym, health check-ups and expert lectures on different topics.
Healthy workplace: this includes the ergonomic optimisation of individual work stations and the necessary investments to that end.

Hensel stood out in all four categories thanks to its exemplary performance in the field of health for the good of its employees.
In future, too, the health of employees at Hensel will remain a top priority.
